Ask anyone to name the best burger joint in Doha, and there’s a very good chance they will mention Burgeri. Located inside Aspire Park, few can resist the call of the B. Special, with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions and the legendary (and top secret) Burgeri sauce. Order with a side of cheesy crinkle cut fries, and you’ll be one happy customer.

Champions

Watching the game without a burger is like listening to the match on the radio: It’s just not the same. And at Champions, you can expect fresh US black Angus beef patties, complete with mushrooms and Swiss cheese, or bacon and cheddar. Either option is delicious, and makes the beautiful game that much better.

While most of our burger-related cravings involve beef, we are partial to a chicken burger on occasion. And if you’re a fan of fried chicken, Chkn has to be your first choice for the best burgers in Doha. You can keep it classic with the original burger, but for us, the only choice is the maple sriracha, which takes this chook sandwich to the next level.

Exit 55

First launched in 2017, Exit 55 has since expanded to four locations across the city to better serve its legion of fans. You can choose between beef and chicken burgers, and can even make your order semi-healthy by ditching the bun in favour of a lettuce wrap. All the options are delicious, but if we could eat only one for the rest of our lives, it would have to be the BBQ burger, with, you guessed it, barbecue sauce, onion rings and good ol’ American cheese.

Firefly Burger

This may be a list of the best burgers in Doha, but cheese lovers will find a lot to love about Firefly’s menu, too. Pick whatever burger you fancy (the egg bacon is a particular standout), then either add a cheese injection into your patty, or a cheese volcano, with freshly melted cheese poured all over. It’s a cheese overload in the best way possible.

Hudson Tavern

We love restaurants that take pride in serving up the best dishes around, and you can tell Hudson Tavern are confident about the quality of their burgers as they stamp their name on every bun. Of course, we’re more interested in what’s between them, and at this American eatery you can order patties made with toppings like Comté cheese and truffle garlic mushrooms, or smoky chorizo, fried onions and a sunny side up egg. Every burger uses grass-fed Australian black angus beef, so no matter what you choose, you’re guaranteed a fantastic meal.

Hunters Room & Grill

You might think it’s wrong to suggest going to a steakhouse for a burger instead of a prime cut of meat. But when you see the towering burgers coming towards you at Hunters, you’ll never regret it, particularly if you order the Hades, which comes with a huge USDA beef patty coated in a cajun remoulade before being piled high with pickles, onions, avocado, sautéed mushrooms and pepper jack cheese. It may well be the only time it’s acceptable to use a knife and fork on a burger.

New York Steakhouse

Steakhouses really know their meat, so if you’re looking for the best burgers in Doha, make a beeline for this spot at the Marriott Marquis. Order the gourmet burger and you’ll enjoy a ten-ounce wagyu beef burger topped with pickles, foie gras, plus New York Steakhouse’s secret sauce. NYSH wasn’t lying when it dubbed this burger gourmet.

Nosh Cravings

Vegans don’t have to miss out on all the burger fun as fast food joint Nosh Cravings serves up plant-based versions of all our favourite dishes. You can grab burgers using Beyond meat, or a black bean patty, but the most popular option (and our favourite) has to be the spicy buffalo chicken burger, which comes with vegan cheese and coleslaw. This one is super saucy.

Shake Shack

We don’t know what we love more about Shake Shack: The milkshakes, or the crinkle cut fries. But what we do know is that this fast food chain undeniably serves up a mean burger, and we’re certainly glad it’s made its way to Qatar all the way from New York City.
